purrfect is a pet companion app with local-first behavior for solo experiences. This policy explains what data is used when you use the app and this website, and how control remains with you.

Data We Process

• Pet progression data, settings, and local app state required for core companion features.
• Account and room data needed only when you join Couple or Family beta features.
• Lightweight reliability and product telemetry used to improve stability.

What We Do Not Require

• No mandatory AI processing for core pet care flows.
• No location sharing as a requirement for companion features.
• No public social feed in core product scope.

How Data Is Used

• Maintain pet state, rewards, and continuity across sessions.
• Enable shared room actions when you intentionally connect with partner or family beta users.
• Prevent abuse and improve quality in social beta experiences.

Permissions

Android overlay permissions are optional and explicitly user-controlled. Notification and related permissions are used only for core reminders and pet-related updates when enabled by you.

Retention and Control

• You can manage core app settings directly in the app.
• Backup export/import controls are available for user-managed continuity.
• You can leave a shared room in beta features and stop future room sync.

Children and Family Safety

purrfect is designed with family-safe defaults and minimal profile scope. If social surfaces expand, moderation and controls are updated before broad release.
